Drink Station
Creating a drink station to display your ingredients is a great way to decorate an entire section of your space with  items you already have. For this party we did a coconut grilled pineapple margarita. I toasted coconut and put it in a cute glass container (an old candle I took the wax out of). We put limes and jalapeños in a clear glass bowl I got from the dollar tree and to make it festive I added cute fiesta cupcake toppers I bought at Hobby Lobby (you can also diy festive picks using toothpicks, a hot glue gun, and any sort of festive item or paper you have laying around).
I bought an extra pineapple to keep in the back which added height and texture. Then I laid out the tequila, agave, and triple sec. I used one of our plain white kitchen towels to add texture. I put plain plastic straws I already had in my pantry in a cute container from the dollar tree and mixed in a few cactus drink spoons from the summer seasonal section of the dollar tree. Lastly, I put everything on a plain wooden cutting board I use for our charcuterie boards to help separate this section and create a station-like feeling.

How to Achieve This Look
When you start planning your decorations, it's important to have a focal point. When I started planning, I knew immediately I wanted to have a sombrero basket of chips. I got this large sombrero from a local party store (but the last time I was at Goodwill I found this exact sombrero and 5+ others for even cheaper).
My original plan was to find a neutral sombrero and then have the color palette be more muted versions of typical fiesta colors. Sadly I couldn't find a beige sombrero for a good price and since I was set on this piece of party decor I decided to center the party color palette around it. I ended up loving how it turned out!
I forgot to take a photo of the final result but I used 2 margarita glasses from the dollar tree for the dips. We got salsa and creamy jalapeño from Chuys (yum!).
The flowers are from Trader Joes (they have great deals on flowers) and were great for adding height to the table display. Both sets of plates are from the dollar tree

typically i would diy this banner but i found this one for a great price
MARGARITA JELL-O SHOTS
 1/2 cup of lime juice
water
2 packets of knox unflavored gelatin
3/4 cup tequila
1/4 cup tripe sec
1 tbs white sugar
How-To
Add the lime juice to a measuring cup and fill the rest with water to make a full cup. Measure out tequila and triple sec in a mixing bowl. Sprinkle gelatin on top. Add lime juice mixture to small pan, stir in 1-2 tablespoons of sugar. Bring a boil. Stir to make sure sugar is dissolved. Pour lime juice over the alcohols and stir well, making sure the gelatin is dissolved. Rim shot glasses with agave and salt (agave helps the salt stay) and transfer mixture to glasses. Place in fridge to set for at least 4 hours.
Margarita Contest
For this party we held a margarita competition. Not only was this a BLAST but it was great because each pair was in charge of bringing one drink per person. Doing it this was was a lot less work and a lot less money than one person being in charge of providing the alcohol and was a lot more fun than just beers/ seltzers. Everyone got super into it (the guys even had a trial run the day before - lol) and everyone gave a fake speech about what inspired their creation. It was such a fun party activity and is still something we all talk about!
